Jack-A-Poo
(Jackapoo)
Jack Russell
Terrier / Poodle
Hybrid
The
Jack-A-Poo is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the
Jack Russell and the
Poodle.
The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all
breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the
characteristics found in either breed. This hybrid cross is recognized by the American
Canine Hybrid Club. Not all of these designer hybrid dogs being bred are 50%
purebred to 50% purebred. It is very common for breeders to breed
multi-generation crosses.

Beauregard, the Jackapoo at 9 months
old. "He weighs in at a hefty 16 lbs, and boy does he like to throw his
weight around! He's very smart, so we can't put anything over on him.....
and has learned to "talk". He vocalizes distinctive "words" (mama, out, play
ball). While it's not quite English he can definitely communicate what he
wants. We call it "Beau speak"."
